A little bit of Monday joy...

Christchurch is a city in ruin following the September 4 earthquake measuring 7.1 and the February 22 quake measuring 6.3. Aftershocks are felt every day. 

According to the Christchurch Quake Map 8201 earthquakes have been recorded since September 4. On September 6 alone they recorded 324 quakes.

Entry to the city centre is closed.

Many of the churches, some dating back to 1860s, have been destroyed.

But amidst the devastation there is some joy...
